The Kinder Foundation’s LIFE Programs have been developed thanks to a large grant from the US Department of Education. The mission of the LIFE Programs is to develop a lifelong interest in fitness and exercise in San Diego charter school students by providing equipment, curriculum, and professional development opportunities for PE and classroom teachers alike.

The Kinder Foundation is affiliated with Friends of Albert Einstein Academies whose mission is to financially support the education of students attending Albert Einstein Academies in grades K through 8.

Arts Bridge Project

It is well accepted that music education increases academic performance, especially in mathematics.

Thus, the Kinder Foundation is proposing the Arts Bridge Project. The Arts Bridge project has been designed to consist of three components;

The first is a classroom based music and orchestra program, the second is a partnership with the San Diego Opera and includes fieldtrips to the opera and student participation in their In-School Residency Program, and the third component is a partnership with the San Diego Symphony and also includes fieldtrips to the symphony and live performances by the musicians in our school’s classrooms through their Meet A Musician program and Interactive Ensemble Performances program.
